Asher Leaves V Factory!

Hey guys! It's official! Asher Book has decided to leave his former boyband, V Factory. Although this is sad news, we support him in everything he chooses to do and look forward to his upcoming projects. Within the last half an hour he posted this on twitter, "I love you sooo much vfactory fans! U have been amazing but I'm no longer with the group! It's been a ride and yes we are all still friends!"

V Factory has given Asher many amazing memories he will keep forever and he is very grateful for everything the band has helped him achieve with the boys.

Asher will be on the CBS show, "The Mentalist" from October 14th 2010.

'Fame' Stars Asher Book And Naturi Naughton Will Colloborate On V Factory's Next Single, 'Get Up'

"The effects of “Fame” are already being felt — literally and figuratively — for some of the stars of Friday’s showstopping movie release. On the VH1 Diva’s red carpet last week, Asher Book confirmed to MTV News that his boy band V Factory is about to release its second single, which will be feature a special sound: the powerful vocals of Asher’s “Fame” costar Naturi Naughton.

The idea for the collaboration on the song, which is called “Get Up,” began on the set of the upcoming musical. “We built the relationship and then afterward, you know, she just has such a phenomenal voice and we thought it would be cool to have a female vocalist on [the track] to see how that would sound, so it came out good,” Asher recalls. As far as the rest of the V Factory album goes, Asher says it will probably be out around October or early November. “We’re just trying to get the single out first,” he adds. V Factory, be warned, we have a feeling your fan base is about to grow a lot bigger come this Friday when Asher struts his stuff on the big screen."

Yesterday, the NEW PS22 Chorus of 2010 got a visit from Naturi Naughton, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, Kherington Payne, and Asher Book -- the castmembers from the upcoming major motion picture, FAME! The kids sang with Naturi on the title song of the film, FAME, and it was a blast! With just a few DAYS into the new school year, it's hard to believe the kids were able to pull this performance off as well as they did! Sure signs of good things to come!

In addition to the actors, on hand to present a $30,000 check for a new keyboard lab to PS22 were FAME director Kevin Tancharoen, VH1 Save The Music Foundation Executive Director Paul Cothran, and Director Of Music for New York City Department of Education Barbara Murray.

Asher's "FAME" co-star Kristy Flores made this video while they were shooting the movie two months ago. She films a lot of the castmembers of the movie. Asher is in it for a few seconds. We also found two videos of Asher in Italy. He went to Italy with his co-stars Kherington Payne, Paul McGill, Kristy Flores and Naturi Naughton in June. It looks like "Freddy" was the reason they went to Italy, watch the videos below!

Asher answered your questions yesterday on Facebook. You can find the chat on the Facebook page. There are somewhere around the 40 pages, so if you don't want to go trough all those pages. This is pretty much what he said:

He loved to shoot the movie "FAME" with his cast members and they can get a long great. It was a lot of fun. The filming took 4 months, in Los Angeles and in New York, "FAME" was the only audition he went to last year and after six months he heard he got the part of Marco. "Try" was his favorite song he sang in the movie and it was also his favorite scene to film. When he read the the script for the first time, he loved it and could relate to it. The other guys of V Factory supported him trough the filming process of the movie and he will be going to Europe to promote the movie.

Hawaii was his favorite place that V Factory performed. "Get Up" is his new favorite song to perform because he thinks it's more edgy and the dance is better than "Love Struck". If he could choose any artist he'd like to tour with V Factory, it would be Justin Timberlake because every member of V Factory likes him. V Factory's album may be released in October. They're going to be in New York soon for the 2009 VMA's.

Asher would rather on a vacation with his celebrity crush (Megan Fox?) than going on tour with Justin Timberlake. He likes to go to the gym, play basketball, hang with his friends, go to the movies and getting good fast food. When he was still going to high school, he took a little Spanish. He has two siblings, he's the "baby". Asher started acting when he was 7, as a Teacup in "Beauty and the Beast".
